CEREC ®
Lexington Dental of Owasso Restores Smiles to Perfect Health
Dr. Cary uses CEREC® technology to provide dental crowns that only take one visit to our Lexington Dental office to complete, which helps you get back to your routine as quickly as possible. CEREC® uses advanced design and fabrication technology to seamlessly collect impressions of your teeth while fabricating your crowns in a fraction of the time it takes for traditional dental crowns. The CEREC system significantly shortens the preparation, fabrication, and installation phases of dental crown procedures.
CEREC is Time-Saving
Traditional dental techniques require at least two visits to complete many dental restorations; CEREC technology saves you time and discomfort by eliminating the need for a second visit.
CEREC is Comfortable
Traditional crowns call for you to press your teeth into trays of molding putty, which many of our patients find unpleasant and uncomfortable. CEREC uses cameras instead to conveniently capture images of your mouth without those pesky putty trays.
CEREC is a Long-Term Solution
CEREC one-visit restorations are created from high-quality porcelain matched to your tooth color, so your restorations will look beautiful and natural for many years to come.
The CEREC® Process:
What Patients Can Expect
Traditionally, dental crowns require two appointments to complete. Using state-of-the-art CAD/CAM technology, Dr. Cary creates and places your crown in a single visit, saving you time and preventing multiple visits to our office to restore your smile. We fabricate your crown using an advanced imaging system that creates a digital impression. From this impression, Dr. Cary designs and mills a custom dental crown in minutes.
When you visit our office for a same-day dental crown, Dr. Cary will:
- Thoroughly examine your teeth to confirm CEREC® treatment
- Remove weakened, decayed, or broken tooth material
- Capture a digital picture of your mouth
- Convert that picture into a 3D model
- Create your restoration based on the 3D model
- Mill your crown from a block of tooth-colored material
- Place it and check that it fits properly
- Bond it into place and polish it to complete your treatment
