Intraoral Camera Dental Technology for the Owasso Community

An intraoral camera is a tool we use to get a closer look at different parts of your smile. The intraoral camera is a small, pen-shaped device that we can use to take high-quality color photos of your teeth, gums, and other areas of your mouth. The intraoral camera is small and easy to control, allowing us to see angles of your mouth that we cannot easily view with the unaided eye. We may utilize the intraoral camera to evaluate your oral health and diagnose dental problems like tooth decay and periodontal disease.

Primary Uses for Intraoral Cameras

At Lexington Dental of Owassa, we use intraoral cameras for a wide range of reasons, including:

Accuracy

Intraoral cameras improve the diagnoses and assessments of common dental issues, like plaque formation, cavities, broken teeth, gum disease, and many more.

Communication

We educate our patients about their oral health with intraoral imagery, allowing us to walk them through their particular dental problems clearly.

Demonstration

We demonstrate the severity of diagnoses with accompanying images of patients’ dental conditions to aid their treatment and recovery.
